1.0 Content Restrictions

1.1 All the services provided by HostOnNet.com may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or presentation of any information, data, or material in violation of any United States federal, state, or local law are strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to copyrighted or trademarked material and material protected by trade secret.

1.2 Sites that promote any illegal activity, such as Warez sites, are prohibited; links to such materials are not allowed. Actual files, including but not limited to pirated software, hacker programs, cracks, and Illegal MP3 files, are strictly prohibited from being stored on HostOnNet.com servers.

1.3 Examples of unacceptable content include the following: Pirated software, Hacker programs or archives, Illegal MP3 files or archives.

1.4 HostOnNet.com reserves the right to remove any material from Client's web space that considered unacceptable by us. HostOnNet.com reserves the right to terminate Client's account without refund at our discretion if said material is discovered. HostOnNet.com is the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of the above provisions.

1.5 No site may use more than 10% of the total server output at any given time.

2.0 CGI Application Restrictions

2.1 Client is allowed to install CGI applications freely; however, HostOnNet.com reserves the right to disable any application that unreasonably effects or interferes with normal server operations. HostOnNet.com will try to inform client before taking any action. However, in extreme cases where a script is causing harm to other users, HostOnNet.com reserves the right to disable the script before informing the client.

2.2 Client may not install Client's own chat room of any kind because they tend to be large "system hogs" and therefore fall into the category described in the section above. The chat room provided with your CPanel 5.x may be used at all times.

2.3 Client may not install, run or store files that can affect server performance in any way.

2.4 Client may not install, run or store files that can affect network performance in any way.

2.5 Client may not install, run commercial copyrighted scripts without authorizations from the owner.

2.6 CGI restrictions listed on section 2.1, 2.4 do not apply to dedicated server hosting service.

3.0 Spam Policy

3.1 HostOnNet.com servers may not be the source, intermediary, or destination address involved in the transmission of Spam, flames, or mail bombs. Client's domain or IP may not be referenced as originator, intermediary, or reply-to address in any of the above.

3.2 HostOnNet.com considers Spam to be any much-unsolicited message in the mediums of newsgroups and e-mail.

3.3 The actions stated above will not be tolerated. Violation will result in the immediate deactivation of services without refund of any kind. Furthermore, a fine of two-hundred (200) US dollars will be imposed for each Spam policy violation. HostOnNet.com is the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of the above provisions.

4.0 Server Abuse

4.1 IRC or IRC bots such as EGGDROP are prohibited on HostOnNet.com servers at all times.

4.2 Any attempt to undermine any HostOnNet.com web site or a web site of another HostOnNet.com's Client or the server itself is strictly prohibited which may result in immediate termination of services rendered by HostOnNet.com without refund. A fine of five-hundred (500) US$ may be implemented for intentional server abuse.

4.3 HostOnNet.com reserves the right to terminate Client's account without refund at our discretion if said material or action is discovered as mentioned in this AUP.

5.0 Violation to AUP

5.1 The following are considered a violation to our Acceptable User Policy

5.1.2 Illegal Use: The use of HostOnNet.com service that violate any United States Federal, State or Local Law in respective client's nationality.

5.1.3 Threats: The use of HostOnNet.com is to transmit any form of threats in the form of email, webpage or any other method with HostOnNet.com as a medium.

5.1.4 Fraudulent: The use of HostOnNet.com is to make fraud purchases, products or service sold.

5.1.5SPAM: The use of HostOnNet.com is to send out unsolicited email, commercial or non commercial, or the use newsgroup to send out unsolicited messages.

5.1.6 Unauthorized Access: The use of HostOnNet.com is to gain access to other accounts or server within the internal network or external.

6.0 Reserved Rights

6.1 HostOnNet.com reserves the right to modify this Acceptable Use Policy. Whenever practical, HostOnNet.com will notify Client of changes to this Agreement.

7.0 Server Resources

7.1 Any website that uses a high amount of server resources (such as, but not limited to, CPU time, memory usage, and network resources) will be given the option to either pay additional fees (which will depend on the resources required), reduce the resources used to an acceptable level, or upgrade its service to a professional plan. WE shall be the sole arbiter of what is considered to be a high server usage level. Any web hosting account deemed to be adversely affecting server performance or network integrity will be shut down without prior notice.
